How a project is recorded

Every photograph here is a finished room or a moment of making. The notes we keep for clients are plainer than a gallery: measurements, species, finish system, and what was deliberately left alone. If a picture is close to a room you are planning, write to the studio with the rough size and what you hope to keep. We will tell you whether it is a repair, a remodel, or a new fit-out.

Kitchens in this set were built around windows and tall pantries that already existed. Bathrooms kept their footprint so plumbing stayed put. Floors were chosen for the wear of a hallway, not only for the colour in a photograph. Exterior work is about water first and appearance second. Furniture pieces stayed in the family and were made steady again.
